Adipurush (2023) is an epic mythological action-drama directed by Om Raut, adapting the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. The film follows Raghav, the prince of the Kosala kingdom, who is exiled to the forest for fourteen years alongside his wife Janaki and younger brother Shesh. Their peaceful existence in the wilderness is shattered when Lankesh, the demon king of Lanka, abducts Janaki to avenge his sister Shurpanakha’s humiliation.

Determined to rescue his beloved wife, Raghav embarks on an arduous journey to Lanka. Along the way, he forms a powerful alliance with Sugriva and the Vanara army, led by the fiercely loyal Bajrang. Together, they construct a bridge across the ocean to reach Lankesh’s formidable fortress.
