Reign of Assassins

Set during the Ming Dynasty, Reign of Assassins follows Drizzle, a lethal assassin who decides to retire and turn over a new leaf after securing the mystical remains of a Buddhist monk. These remains are highly coveted by the Dark Stone guild, a ruthless syndicate of assassins led by the Wheel King, because they are believed to grant unmatched martial arts power. To escape her past, Drizzle undergoes facial reconstruction surgery, renames herself Zeng Jing, and settles down in the capital as a humble cloth merchant.

In her new life, she falls in love with and marries a gentle messenger named Ah Sheng. However, her peaceful existence is shattered when she is forced to use her martial arts skills to defend them during a robbery, inadvertently alerting the Dark Stone guild to her whereabouts. The guild’s deadly members quickly track her down, demanding she hand over the monk’s remains.

As the confrontation escalates, shocking secrets emerge, including the true identity of her husband, who has his own hidden agenda and connection to Drizzle’s past. Zeng Jing must fight to protect her new life and her husband, leading to a thrilling and emotional showdown with the Wheel King to break the cycle of violence once and for all.
