Sita Ramam

Set in 1964, ‘Sita Ramam’ follows Lieutenant Ram, an orphaned Indian Army officer serving at the Kashmir border. After saving local Kashmiri families from a crisis, his story is broadcasted on All India Radio, prompting citizens to write to him. Among the letters, he receives one from a mysterious woman named Sita Mahalakshmi, who claims to be his wife. Intrigued and deeply moved by her letters, Ram embarks on a journey to find Sita, leading to a profound and timeless romance.

Two decades later, in 1985, Afreen, a rebellious Pakistani student in London, is tasked with delivering a letter written by Ram to Sita as part of her late grandfather’s final wish. Her search takes her across India, where she slowly uncovers the tragic and heroic fate of Ram, the true identity of Sita, and the deep-seated secrets of their sacrifice. The film beautifully weaves themes of love, patriotism, and humanity transcending borders.
