Family of Thakurganj

Family of Thakurganj is a gripping action-drama set in a small town in North India, focusing on the deep-rooted corruption, lawlessness, and the power dynamics of the region. The story revolves around the lives of two brothers, Nannu and Munnu, who choose completely contrasting paths in life. While Nannu enters the dark world of crime and becomes a feared hitman working under the influential local kingpin Baba Bhandari, Munnu chooses the path of honesty, education, and runs a local coaching institute.

The ideological rift between the brothers widens as the town’s corrupt socio-political system begins to directly impact their family. Nannu’s criminal activities bring power and wealth but also invite dangerous rivalries and police scrutiny, led by an upright officer. Meanwhile, Munnu tries to uphold justice and family values, leading to an inevitable clash of principles that threatens to tear the entire family apart.

Directed by Manoj K. Jha and written by Dilip Shukla, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Saurabh Shukla, and Nandish Sandhu. It explores themes of brotherhood, loyalty, and the struggle between right and wrong in a society governed by muscle power and political corruption.
