Gladiator II

Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Decades after witnessing the tragic death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of Emperor Commodus, Lucius—the son of Lucilla—lives quietly with his family in the North African region of Numidia. However, his peaceful life is shattered when Roman forces, commanded by General Marcus Acacius, conquer the territory, resulting in the death of Lucius’s wife and his own capture as a prisoner of war.

Forced into slavery, Lucius is purchased by Macrinus, a cunning and ambitious former slave turned gladiator owner and power broker. Driven by pure rage and a desire for revenge against Acacius and the tyrannical co-emperors Caracalla and Geta, Lucius enters the Colosseum as a gladiator. Recognizing his potential and noble lineage, Macrinus manipulates Lucius’s fury to advance his own secret political ambitions to usurp control over the crumbling empire.

As civil unrest grips Rome, Lucius must confront his past, reconcile with his mother Lucilla, and lead a battle inside and outside the arena to restore the vision of a free Rome.
