Khufiya

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, Khufiya is a gripping espionage thriller based on the popular novel Escape to Nowhere by Amar Bhushan. The story follows Krishna Mehra, a dedicated operative at India’s external intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). She is assigned a high-stakes mission to track down a mole within the agency who is leaking sensitive defense secrets, which previously led to the tragic death of a valuable asset.

As Krishna delves deeper into the investigation, she targets Ravi Shersgill, a fellow officer whose suspicious lifestyle and sudden affluence raise red flags. The narrative masterfully weaves a web of surveillance, personal vendettas, and geopolitical tension, exploring the heavy emotional toll that a life of secrecy takes on the operatives and their families.
