My Brilliant Life

My Brilliant Life follows the deeply emotional journey of Dae-soo and Mi-ra, who became teenage parents at the tender age of seventeen. Their lives are turned upside down when their beloved son, Ah-reum, is diagnosed with Progeria—an extremely rare genetic disorder that causes him to age at an accelerated rate. By the time Ah-reum reaches his sixteenth year, his body has deteriorated to that of an eighty-year-old man, forcing the family to confront the painful reality of his limited time left on Earth.

Despite his severe physical limitations, Ah-reum remains an incredibly bright, optimistic, and creative boy who loves literature. He embarks on a heartfelt project to write a story detailing how his young parents fell in love, hoping to gift it to them before his seventeenth birthday. To cope with mounting medical expenses, the family reluctantly agrees to feature their story on a television fundraising program, which brings both overwhelming public support and unexpected emotional challenges.
