Satyaprem Ki Katha

Satyaprem Ki Katha is a romantic drama that follows the life of Satyaprem ‘Sattu’ (Kartik Aaryan), a good-hearted but unemployed young man from Ahmedabad who dreams of marrying Katha (Kiara Advani), a popular local singer. Despite Katha being out of his league and recovering from a painful breakup, destiny brings them together when Katha’s family unexpectedly agrees to their marriage. Sattu is ecstatic to marry the girl of his dreams, but his joy is short-lived as he realizes Katha is emotionally distant and harboring a deep trauma.

As the narrative unfolds, Sattu discovers that Katha was a victim of non-consensual sexual assault by her former boyfriend, which led to an unwanted pregnancy and subsequent abortion. This revelation tests Sattu’s love and maturity. Instead of backing away, Sattu decides to stand by Katha, supporting her healing process and fighting against societal taboos. The film beautifully transitions from a lighthearted comedy into a poignant social drama, highlighting themes of consent, mental health, and the true meaning of partnership.
