STORYLINE
Following the unmasking of Peter Parker by Quentin Beck at the end of Far From Home, Peter’s life and the lives of those closest to him—MJ and Ned Leeds—are thrown into utter chaos. Desperate to restore his anonymity and secure his friends’ admission into college, Peter turns to Doctor Stephen Strange to cast a spell that will make the world forget his secret identity. However, Peter’s repeated interruptions during the casting process corrupt the spell, accidentally fracturing the boundaries of the multiverse.
The ruptured multiverse draws dangerous supervillains into Peter’s reality from alternate dimensions, including Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and the Lizard. Refusing to send these men back to their original timelines where many face fatal fates, Peter attempts to develop cures for their superhuman conditions. Tragedy strikes when Norman Osborn’s alter-ego, the Green Goblin, takes control and kills Aunt May, leaving Peter consumed by grief and a desire for vengeance.
With the help of Ned and MJ, Peter unites with two alternate versions of himself—played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield—who have also been pulled into his world. Together, the three Spider-Men engineer cures for their foes and face off in an epic final showdown at the Statue of Liberty. Ultimately, to stop the multiverse from destroying his world, Peter makes the selfless choice to have Doctor Strange wipe all memories of Peter Parker from everyone’s minds, leaving him completely alone to continue his mantle as a street-level Spider-Man.
