Trial Period (2023) is a heartwarming Indian comedy-drama directed by Aleya Sen. The story revolves around Ana (Genelia Deshmukh), a hardworking single mother living in Delhi with her inquisitive young son, Romi (Zidane Braz). Influenced by a commercial promising product trial periods, Romi insists on getting a ‘father on trial’ for 30 days. Reluctantly agreeing to satisfy her son’s persistent request, Ana hires Prajapati Dwivedi, affectionately known as PD (Manav Kaul), a disciplined yet quirky teacher from Ujjain who is currently out of work.
