Set in the scenic but eerie town of Mussoorie, Forensic (2022) follows Sub-Inspector Megha Sharma as she investigates a chilling series of abductions and murders of young girls on their birthdays. To aid the local police, Johnny Khanna, a brilliant and eccentric forensic officer, is assigned to the case. The investigation is complicated by their shared past, as Johnny is the brother of Megha’s estranged late brother-in-law, forcing them to put aside personal grievances to stop a ruthless serial killer.

As Johnny utilizes cutting-edge forensic science to piece together clues from the crime scenes, the evidence initially points toward a young boy, leading the police to believe they are dealing with a juvenile delinquent. However, Johnny remains skeptical of the simplistic narrative. The psychological tension escalates as the killer continues to evade capture, leaving behind a trail of bodies that challenges both Megha’s traditional policing methods and Johnny’s scientific deductions.

The film builds to a high-stakes climax that uncovers a web of identity theft, deep-seated psychological trauma, and a quest for vengeance. It is revealed that the true mastermind behind the heinous crimes is Dr. Ranjana, a child psychologist who has been manipulating events from the shadows due to a tragic past. Johnny and Megha must combine their skills in a race against time to save the next target and bring the real culprit to justice.
