Dark Figure of Crime

Dark Figure of Crime follows the intense psychological game between a veteran homicide detective, Hyung-min, and a dangerous killer named Tae-oh. While already serving a prison sentence for a brutal homicide, Tae-oh unexpectedly contacts Hyung-min from behind bars and confesses to seven additional unrecorded murders. Driven by an unrelenting commitment to justice and bringing closure to the forgotten victims, Hyung-min risks his professional reputation and personal finances to pursue these cold cases.

As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that Tae-oh is playing a calculated mind game, intentionally dropping cryptically vague clues to manipulate the legal system and exploit investigative loopholes. With minimal support from his skeptical superiors who believe Tae-oh is lying, Hyung-min must rely on relentless police work and painstaking forensic analysis to uncover physical evidence before the legal time limit expires. The film delivers a thrilling race against time and a masterclass battle of wits between an obsessive officer and a cold-blooded sociopath.
