Wildwood

Wildwood is an upcoming stop-motion animated dark fantasy adventure film produced by the acclaimed studio LAIKA and directed by Travis Knight. Based on the bestselling novel by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis, the film follows the extraordinary journey of Prue McKeel, a young girl living in Portland, Oregon, whose life takes a fantastical turn when her baby brother Mac is abducted by a murder of crows.

To rescue her brother, Prue and her classmate Curtis embark on a perilous rescue mission into the “Impassable Wilderness”—a dense, forbidden forest on the outskirts of Portland that is hidden from the human world. Inside this secret realm known as Wildwood, they discover a magical, war-torn wonderland populated by talking animals, mystical creatures, and warring factions of bandits and woodland soldiers.

As Prue and Curtis navigate this enchanting yet dangerous territory, they find themselves caught in the middle of a brewing civil war led by the enigmatic and powerful Dowager Governess, Alexandra. To save her brother and find a way back home, Prue must muster immense courage, forge unexpected alliances, and unlock the deep secrets of the forest. Wildwood promises to deliver LAIKA’s signature breathtaking stop-motion craftsmanship, blending dark fantasy, coming-of-age themes, and epic adventure.
