Wreck-It Ralph

Wreck-It Ralph is a brilliant Disney animated adventure that takes audiences inside the secret world of arcade video games. The story follows Ralph, the misunderstood villain of the classic 8-bit game ‘Fix-It Felix, Jr.’ For thirty years, Ralph has played his role perfectly, destroying the game’s apartment building only to be cast aside while the heroic Felix gets all the glory, medals, and pies. Tired of being the bad guy and yearning for acceptance, Ralph decides to take matters into his own hands and escape his game to win a medal of his own, embarking on a game-hopping journey.

Ralph’s quest leads him first to the high-stakes, first-person shooter ‘Hero’s Duty,’ where he manages to secure a medal, but accidentally unleashes a dangerous Cy-Bug. He crashes into ‘Sugar Rush,’ a candy-themed kart racing game. There, he meets Vanellope von Schweetz, a glitchy young girl who is forbidden from racing by the tyrannical King Candy. Vanellope steals Ralph’s medal to use as her entry fee in the race, forcing the unlikely duo into a reluctant partnership. As they work together to build a kart and help Vanellope qualify, they form a deep bond, discovering that they are both outcasts seeking a place to belong.

Meanwhile, Felix teams up with the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun from ‘Hero’s Duty’ to find Ralph before their game is unplugged due to his absence. As the Cy-Bug threat multiplies beneath Sugar Rush, Ralph uncovers a dark conspiracy surrounding King Candy and Vanellope’s true identity. Ultimately, Ralph must embrace his identity as a ‘bad guy’ to save the entire arcade, proving that heroism is defined by one’s choices rather than the role they were programmed to play.
