Yumi’s Cells: The Movie

Based on the wildly popular Naver webtoon by Lee Dong-gun, Yumi’s Cells: The Movie expands the beloved universe into a full-length 3D animated feature. The film delves deep into the inner workings of Yumi’s brain, where personified emotional cells manage her daily life, career ambitions, and personal relationships. Transitioning from her corporate career to pursuing her dream as a full-time writer, Yumi faces new artistic pressures and emotional crossroads that throw her internal cell village into complete disarray.

The narrative focuses on the conflict that arises within Yumi’s mental world when Writer Cell takes command, causing friction with dominant figures like Love Cell and Anxiety Cell. As tight deadlines, self-doubt, and unexpected romantic developments test Yumi’s resolve, the cell village must band together to help her navigate creative blocks and relationship hurdles. Each cell brings its unique personality and humor, working behind the scenes to maintain Yumi’s self-esteem and happiness.

Combining heartwarming humor with slice-of-life relatability, Yumi’s Cells: The Movie delivers an uplifting celebration of self-discovery and resilience. With crisp animation and charming character dynamics, the film poignantly illustrates how every emotion—from fear and hunger to love and ambition—plays a vital role in building a fulfilling life.
