Twisters (2024) is an adrenaline-fueled disaster film directed by Lee Isaac Chung, serving as a modern update and standalone sequel to the classic 1996 film Twister. The story follows Kate Carter, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years. Now studying storm patterns safely in New York City, she is lured back to the open plains of Oklahoma by her friend Javi to test a groundbreaking new tracking system.

Once in the field, Kate crosses paths with Tyler Owens, a charming and reckless social media superstar who thrives on posting his dangerous storm-chasing adventures online. As a historic, unprecedented outbreak of multiple storm systems converges over central Oklahoma, Kate, Tyler, and their competing teams must put aside their differences. They must work together to survive and find a way to mitigate the immense destructive power of the rapidly intensifying tornadoes.
