Madame Web (2024) – Story, Cast, Action & Sci-Fi

Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of Cassandra Webb, a Manhattan paramedic who begins to manifest powerful clairvoyant abilities following a near-death experience. Initially overwhelmed by visions of the future, Cassie discovers that her destiny is intertwined with three young women—Julia Cornwall, Anya Corazon, and Mattie Franklin—who are being hunted by a ruthless enemy named Ezekiel Sims. Sims, possessing similar abilities and wearing a spider-like suit, seeks to eliminate the women before they can fulfill a future prophecy where they bring about his downfall.

As Cassie races against time to protect the trio, she is forced to confront unresolved trauma from her past, specifically regarding her mother’s mysterious research on rare spiders in the Peruvian Amazon. Through her developing powers, Cassie learns to navigate the complex web of time and fate, using her foresight to outwit Sims in a series of intense encounters. The film combines action-packed thriller elements with superhero mystery, expanding Sony’s Spider-Man Universe through a grounded, suspenseful narrative.
