Directed by Academy Award-winner Gabriele Salvatores, ‘The Invisible Boy: Second Generation’ (Il ragazzo invisibile – Seconda generazione) is an Italian sci-fi superhero film that continues the journey of teenage protagonist Michele Silenzi. Three years after discovering his ability to turn invisible, sixteen-year-old Michele struggles with intense grief following the tragic loss of his adoptive mother, Giovanna. Compounded by typical teenage heartbreaks and social alienation, Michele finds himself isolated from his peers while trying to manage his extraordinary superpower.

Michele’s life is radically reshaped when he meets his biological mother, Yelena, and his long-lost twin sister, Natasha. Unveiling the truth about his origins, Yelena reveals that they belong to a secretive, genetically altered group of superhuman beings known as ‘The Specials.’ Natasha possesses destructive pyrokinetic abilities, and together with Yelena, she draws Michele into a dark revenge campaign against the shadowy organization responsible for experimenting on and torturing their kind.

As Michele learns to harness his powers further, he is forced to navigate complex familial bonds and conflicting loyalties. Caught between his innate human empathy and his biological family’s destructive mission, Michele must decide what kind of hero he wants to be, leading to an explosive confrontation where trust, identity, and survival hang in the balance.
