Dragonball Evolution (2009) – Story, Cast, Action & Ending

On his eighteenth birthday, high school student Goku is gifted a sacred four-star Dragon Ball by his grandfather, Gohan. However, tragedy strikes when the ancient alien warlord Lord Piccolo returns from imprisonment after two thousand years, seeking the seven Dragon Balls to reshape Earth during an upcoming solar eclipse. After Gohan is fatally injured in Piccolo’s attack, he urges Goku with his dying breath to locate Master Roshi and prevent Piccolo from acquiring all seven mythical orbs.

Joined by brilliant scientist Bulma Briefs—who has developed a tracking radar to locate the Dragon Balls—and later by the desert bandit Yamcha and martial artist Chi-Chi, Goku tracks down the eccentric Master Roshi. Under Roshi’s guidance, Goku trains to master the powerful Kamehameha technique and unlock his inner Ki. As the solar eclipse approaches, the group battles Piccolo’s demonic minion Mai and races across the globe to secure the remaining balls before Piccolo can unleash the destructive power of the Great Ape Oozaru and conquer Earth.
