Nabab LLB

Nabab LLB is a gripping Bangladeshi courtroom drama thriller directed by Anonno Mamun, starring superstar Shakib Khan in the lead role as Nabab Chowdhury, a highly successful but initially self-centered defense attorney. The film revolves around a heinous crime involving a young woman named Shuvra, who becomes a victim of a brutal sexual assault. When the corrupt legal system and societal prejudices attempt to silence her, she struggles to find a lawyer willing to fight against the influential perpetrators.

Although Nabab initially dismisses the case due to his own cynical outlook, a series of eye-opening events and the sheer injustice of the situation compel him to take up Shuvra’s defense. He goes head-to-head in court against a powerful and corrupt rival lawyer, played by Shahiduzzaman Selim, who represents the wealthy culprits. The legal battle quickly escalates into a high-stakes war of ethics, power, and survival, exposing the deep-seated corruption within the law enforcement and judicial systems.

The film highlights critical social issues surrounding victim-blaming and the challenges women face when seeking justice in South Asia. With powerful performances by Shakib Khan, Mahiya Mahi, and Orchita Sporshia, Nabab LLB delivers a strong social message wrapped in a commercial cinematic package, making it one of the most talked-about Bangladeshi films of its release year.
