Incredibles 2 picks up immediately after the events of the original film as the Parr family takes on the Underminer. Following the massive collateral damage from the battle, the government shuts down the Superhero Relocation Program, leaving supers without official support. However, telecommunications magnate Winston Deavor and his tech-genius sister Evelyn propose a public relations initiative to make superheroes legal again. They choose Helen (Elastigirl) to spearhead the campaign, believing her tactical style produces far less destruction than Bob’s brute force.

While Helen ventures out to track down a insidious cyber-villain known as Screenslaver—who uses screens to hypnotize the public—Bob steps into the demanding role of a stay-at-home parent. He struggles to manage Violet’s teenage angst, Dash’s complex math homework, and the overwhelming discovery that baby Jack-Jack possesses dozens of volatile, uncontrollable superpowers. Bob relies on assistance from Lucius Best (Frozone) and eccentric designer Edna Mode to handle domestic life.

As Helen uncovers the true mastermind behind the Screenslaver persona, a plot is set into motion to turn world leaders against superheroes permanently. With Bob, Helen, and Frozone falling into a dangerous trap, it is up to Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack to embrace their abilities, work together, and rescue their parents before the villain destabilizes the future of all supers.
