Billy Batson, a streetwise 14-year-old foster kid in Philadelphia, finds his life forever changed when he is transported to a mysterious realm by an ancient wizard. Chosen as the champion of eternity, Billy is granted the ability to transform into an adult superhero by merely shouting the word ‘SHAZAM!’. With the wisdom of Solomon, strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, power of Zeus, courage of Achilles, and speed of Mercury, Billy must navigate his dual life as a teenager and a godlike protector.

With the help of his superhero-obsessed foster brother Freddy Freeman, Billy begins testing his limits and documenting his powers with teenage lightheartedness. However, the fun quickly turns serious when he attracts the attention of the ruthless Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Having been rejected by the wizard in his childhood, Sivana has allied himself with the physical manifestations of the Seven Deadly Sins, seeking to steal Billy’s powers for himself.

To defeat Sivana and save the world, Billy must learn that true strength comes not from individual power, but from the bonds of family. In a thrilling climax, Billy shares his magical abilities with his foster siblings, creating a team of heroes to vanquish the Sins and secure his place within a loving, permanent home.
