Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* focuses on an irreverent team-up of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most prominent anti-heroes and reformed villains. Assembled under mysterious circumstances by CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, the mismatched group includes Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier), Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian), John Walker (U.S. Agent), Ava Starr (Ghost), and Antonia Dreykov (Taskmaster). When a routine assignment turns out to be a deadly trap, the rogue operatives are forced to band together to survive.

Navigating past grudges, psychological trauma, and deep distrust, the team uncovers a dangerous conspiracy that threatens global stability. Their investigation brings them face-to-face with Bob Reynolds, a complex figure hiding an earth-shattering secret. To neutralize this existential threat, the Thunderbolts must look past their mercenary instincts and act as genuine heroes, defining their own place in a world left without the traditional Avengers team.
